Because it is made from vegetables rather than animal products, margarine has an absolutely unfair reputation as a healthy foodstuff. The vegetable oils that make up many margarines have been hydrogenated so that they can continue to be solid at room temperature, meaning that they are rich in trans fats. Hot dogs and other processed meats have a strong reason to be on this list of foods not suitable for consumption. We know that the consumption of this type of meat has been linked to an increase in colon cancer.
After water, soft drinks continue to be the most popular drink. But the generally high sugar content of corn syrup, high in glucose, can represent one of the most essential drawbacks of this kind of beverage.
