After you finish your training, you’re starving? When you work hard, your muscles need to regain the energy they’ve spent, so you feel hungry. What you eat after training has a big impact on your healthy lifestyle. To get the most out of your body, you need to treat it the right way, and getting out of the gym to eat fast food may not be the best way to refuel your muscles and help your body recover in time for your next workout.

Smoothies or protein shakes are ideal, as they are very easy and very quick to prepare, making them ideal for the moment when you’re hit by an appetite for a post-workout blog! Besides this, they are very healthy and advantageous to sustain a healthy and balanced diet.

If we recently showed you recipes for hot shakes suitable for cold weather, here are our 4 favorite protein shakes:

Blueberry and Orange Smoothie

It’s so refreshing! A tip for freezing bananas: Cut them up and put them in a freezer bag, so you don’t have to fight with the skin of a frozen banana.

  • 1 orange, peeled and cut into pieces
  • 20 grams of oats
  • 120g Greek yogurt

Put each and every one of the ingredients in a blender and whisk until evenly blended, to enjoy! If your smoothie is a little thick, add two ice cubes.
